    A calculator that understands questions

    Type a sum the way you'd write it, or ask in plain English. Calcist works out 18% of 245, 15 is what percent of 60, 25% off $80, 5 ft 11 in to cm, 72 f to c and square root of 2. Fractions stay exact, so 2/3 + 1/4 shows 11/12 as well as 0.9167.

    Every line you add stays on the tape below the keypad. Change an earlier line and everything after it recalculates, like a tiny spreadsheet. Save numbers by name (rent = 1450) and use them later (rent × 12).
